False Equivalencies and the Conservative Backstab
Following last week’s popular Saturday Five monologue, I wrote a piece for The Critic about the false equivalency drawn by the sclerotic Liberal establishment between the phantom Far Right and the very real threat of Islamist extremism.
I can only assume Anderson was scapegoated for the same reason Rishi Sunak scaremongered about “the Far Right”: because Far Right has become a pejorative for anyone who notices the unwanted consequences of the government’s mass immigration policy.
You can read and listen to the piece here.
Since then, I made a tweet drawing attention to the fact that a permanent fixture of treacherous governments, Michael Gove, met with and appointed Tell MAMA founder Fiyaz Mughal his advisor for a 'major crackdown on extremism' and 'anti-Muslim hatred'.
Tell MAMA accused Boris Johnson of causing 'a 375 per cent increase' in 'Islamophobic attacks' the week after he joked in a column that the niqab face-veils make women look like ‘bank robbers’ and ‘letter boxes’.
This appears to have aided in staving off a Tory backstab for at least a little while: as Mughal has stepped down from the role before he was even formally announced, citing ''vile' attacks from Islamists and far-Right'.
Assuming that’s a mischaracterization of critics, like me, who raised salience about his grift, and Gove’s relentless efforts to contain public outrage over dreadful government policy — Hello there! Happy to have done my part.
Why Wokeness is Liberalism
This week, a two-hour discussion between myself and Carl Benjamin was released — which, ironically, was recorded on the morning of the same day that Carl and James Lindsay had a Twitter tiff about this issue.
Though the modern anti-Woke coalition is comprised of well-meaning Liberals, they must come to terms with the fact that Liberalism was not only the fertile soil from which Woke sprung; but that Wokeness is an eager instrument for bringing the Liberal utopia into being.
It executes on the Liberal anthropology of the State of Nature, the supposition of the Blank Slate (which modern Liberals say they disbelieve in, but act as if is true), and is generated because of the Liberal promise of moral progress and material prosperity being so successful.
Watch this rich discussion of why Liberalism will end up with the bright-pink Panopticon, monitoring the everlasting hoghouse, only on LotusEaters.com.
A History of Socialism
For a definition of Liberalism’s antagonistic twin ideology, Marxism, you can watch the latest episode of my colleague Stelios’ series, Symposium, where we discussed Friedrich Engels’ Socialism: Utopian and Scientific.
Stelios and I will be continuing our conversation with a future episode, where we will be discussing the contested origins and aims of Wokeness.

Can Deano Be Radicalised?
On Friday, I hosted another instalment of our popular panel show, Lads Hour, where guest Harrison Pitt joined Carl, Harry, Rory and me to debate if the Deano deserves our scorn or admiration — and whether or not these aspirational working-class lads can be brought to an awakened consciousness over the state of England.
Despite some instinctive snobbishness, I won Carl around at the end to the fact that, what’s happening to England, it’s just not on, is it mate.
Watch this episode, and every Lads Hour live at 3 PM on Fridays, by subscribing now to LotusEaters.com.
You can also watch the Podcast with Carl, and Harrison Pitt on our website, Rumble, or via the YouTube clips below.
The Manosphere clip in particular caused a lot of controversy in the comments, but I stand by every word I said.
Do not let resentment and risk-aversion paralyse you from seeking and committing to a good woman.
That’s all for this week. But on Wednesday, head on over to LotusEaters.com for the first episode of a brand new show…
